Can a Detox Diet Cause Me to Lose Weight?
Today’s Question: I have read a lot about detox diets as an approach to weight loss. I’m looking to jumpstart my own weight loss. I wonder if a detox diet is something I should seriously think about?
Answer: As you might guess, there is not an easy answer to your question. The answer is, quite simply, “it depends.” Determining if you especially would profit from a detox diet as part of your weight loss regime does depend on diverse crucial factors. Therefore I must ask you these 3 questions:
1. What approximate percent of your body fat is cellulite? If you answer fifty percent or more, then I say yes, a detox diet will be beneficial for you.
2. Has your diet in the last year (or longer) included these foods: refined or processed foods, diary products, fast food, junk food, foods containing artificial ingredients, fatty or fried foods? If you answer YES to any of these, you are well advised to start out your weight loss program with a detox diet.
3. Lastly, do you normally have any symptoms of body toxicity: digestive disorders, halitosis, foul-smelling feces, colon irregularity, diarrhea, skin rashes and other skin disorders, headaches, body or joint pain, chronic fatigue , malaise or PMS? If so, then you would do well to do a detox diet.
You should be cognizant that detoxification can be a superbly mighty health tool when set about well, but if done improperly, can actually do harm. It is extremely essential that you research this matter and find a detox plan that is best for your needs and, more importantly, is safe and natural. Severe detox plans should be be avoided like the plague.
