Entertaining in the Kitchen with a Modern Look

Posted by admin - June 24th, 2009

Audiovox is well known for its use of drop down video in the family van and a logical product offering is the Audiovox Drop Down LCD/DVD Combo which the manufacturer calls Under Cabinet Televisions. The models are offered in a 7″ and 9″ and are intended to be mounted under the upper cabinets in a kitchen or other room much like a plug-in kitchen counter-light. Audiovox also produces digital picture frames and message centers as well as portable DVD players.

The concept is that the unit has the screen folded away until it is needed and it is folded down in the On position and can be tilted in the direction of the viewer. The unit is an LCD television, clock radio, DVD player and kitchen timer all in one package and retails for $200-300 depending on where you buy it and which model you select. You may also use the unit as a video monitor with an optional video camera in such applications as a baby room monitor or security camera viewing screen for a door or driveway.

If you spend a great deal of time in the kitchen, then this unit has a very practical place as an entertainment companion as you create your masterpieces in this hub of activity. It is also a good way to keep the younger members of your family in close view by playing their favorite DVD on the Audiovox Drop Down LCD/DVD Combo and controlling it with the included remote control unit.

It is a very practical addition for any DVD cooking books that you may purchase or for watching your favorite television cooking show in the appropriate environment. Kitchen counter space is always at a premium and this unit provides the perfect way to add a range of modern electronic viewing and listening aids to arguably the busiest room in the house.
